Electric Tankless Hot Water Heater

Gas Or Electric Tankless Hot Water Heater?

You’ve heard all the hype about tankless hot water heaters but you are now faced with a decision: should you go with a gas or an electric tankless hot water heater for your home? On one hand, electricity is becoming very expensive so you know you’ll save money by going with gas but if your home isn’t capable of having gas, you could end up spending a little bit more to have a gas water heater installed. However, all things being equal, if you have to choose between a gas or an electric tankless hot water heater, it all comes down to how much money you want to spend.

Electric Tankless Hot Water Heater

An electric tankless hot water heater is probably the easiest way to go out of the two choices. For one thing, it’s simple to just hook up the electric tankless hot water heater to the electricity in your home. Installing the electric tankless hot water heater will take some know how, so you should still get the help of a professional but once it’s installed, you’ll enjoy the fact that the electric tankless hot water heater doesn’t require a tank that you may need to wait to fill before you can enjoy hot water again. With the electric tankless hot water heater, the water is heated as it reaches your home, for as long as you have electricity running to it.

Gas Tankless Hot Water Heater

If you have gas capabilities in your home, then you might love the gas tankless hot water heater. If you don’t have gas capabilities, you can have the nozzles and the gas installed and it may cost a little more but it’s worth it. Gas is less expensive than electricity and, therefore, the gas water heater will save you money when compared to the electric tankless hot water heater.

However, if all you’re looking for is a simple, tankless hot water heater, you might want to go with the electric tankless hot water heater. It may be a little more expensive but you don’t have to worry about gas leaks, you don’t have adding extra nozzles or capabilities and you can seamlessly add an electric tankless hot water heater to your home without any extra equipment. So, if you have the money and are looking to save time while still enjoying hot water, you should choose the electric tankless water heater.
